The award-winning pianist/composer, a former winner of the Best Jazz Artist title in The Phoenix arts weekly, is an evocative instrumentalist and visionary straddling genres and creating an intoxicating hybrid of melodic styles. Influences include: Michael Gibbs, Chick Corea, Keith Jarrett, Bobo Stenson, Oscar Peterson.

Currently Director of Jazz Studies and Music Department Chair at the University of Rhode Island.

Friday, July 30: Joe Parillo & Friends
This week you have two opportunities to hear Joe and his select group of musicians perform jazz classics and original tunes including a Grammy nominated composition.

Pianist, Grammy nominated composer, and Steinway Artist
Joe Parillo, has performed in Brazil, Italy, Germany, New Zealand and most recently Taiwan. He has played nationally and internationally with the Glenn Miller Orchestra and vibraphonist Jay Hoggard as well as with his trio and in solo performances and master classes. Mr. Parillo was invited as a featured artist for the Steinway Artists Celebration performing at Symphony Hall in Boston to honor the 150th Anniversary of Steinway and Sons.

Saturday, July 31: The Dan Hartman Quintet
The very popular and talented Dan Hartman and his group play straight ahead jazz from the 50's, 60's, and 70's with interesting commentary and a bit of humor. Always a great night with the DHQ. Be sure to reserve a table for this event
